This is a recreational neighborhood soccer league for ages 4 1/2 to 13 years of age.  Chester Park accepts players of all levels and encourage new players to join in the fun and learn about the great game of soccer.

Games will begin on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Practice will start one to two weeks before the first game.

**U6/U8 Option for Players Born Between September 1-December 31, 2018

If your player is born between September 1 and December 31, 2018 (turning 6 during or after the soccer season), AYSA is giving parents the option to register their player for either the "Under-6" or "Under-8" play level.  AYSA wants players to be excited to play and learn about the game of soccer at this young age.  We believe this gives parents of these younger players the opportunity to choose which league best suits their player.

This only applies to those born September 1 through December 31, 2018.  This does not apply to the older age groups/play levels.  This is because both the U6 and U8 levels are meant to be a fun learning opportunity.

Parents often ask about friend requests during the registration process.  Chester Park usually only fields one team at the U10 and higher levels so your children are likely to play with their friends.  If there are to be more than one team at any given level, an e-mail will be sent out in early July for friend requests.  

If there are not enough players to field a team, Chester Park usually combines with some of the neighboring clubs.  This decision is made in mid-May.  Every attempt is made to keep the Chester Park players together.  

If your family is in need of a scholarship to help offset the cost, please complete the Chester Park Thunder Soccer Scholarship Request Form.  You will need to complete this form prior to registration in order to receive a discount code.

Once your request has been received, please allow up to 48 hours to receive your code to be used at check-out.  You will be given a one-time use discount code to use at check-out.  

INTERESTED IN COACHING?

The success of our program and season depends on parent volunteer coaches.  We will allow up to 2 coaches per team.  Coach responsibilities:

• Lead practice sessions 1-2 times per week (approximately 1 hour practices),
• Attend games 1-2 times per week,
• Attend  1 preseason coaches meeting and optional coaches clinics.

Games begin on Thursday, August 1, 2024.  The majority of games will be played in August with some carrying over into September.  The season will be over by the end of September.  

Practices will start a few weeks before games begin.  

Parents/families who commit to coaching will receive a  discount on their player's registration.

All players will need a jersey to participate.  You may use a jersey from previous years or from an older sibling (if it still fits and is in decent shape).   

Price of Jersey: $20

 Cost of the jersey will be added to registration.

Sizes available: youth extra-small, youth medium, youth large, youth extra-large, adult small, adult medium, adult large.  

The adult sizes tend to run large.
